Question Elk Grove Honda

Anyone have a contact at this dealership? We tried to get a CR-V over the weekend only to end up dealing with a j***off.

Thanks for looking.

I've sent out quote requests but this is the closest and most convenient so I wanted to see if someone there is worth dealing with. I can get pretty much what I want in Sunnyvale, but that's a 120 mile trek.

way back when elk grove honda was up in south sac and used to be called South City Honda, it was actually pretty decent. a lot of my friends bought their cars from there. but after they moved down to Elk Grove, the customer service seemed to drop off a cliff or something. don't know if it was coincidence, but a couple of my friends ended up going to other dealerships in the area after their experiences at Elk Grove Honda.

Your friends' experiences at South City Honda were better than my own. In 1996, the sales guy I dealt with was named Juan, I believe, but the manager of the dealership was some half-pint dick with a shirt and tie. I agreed to let them request my credit report at their cost to see what sort of financing I could get on a VTEC something or other (I forget which model). The manager was insisting that he could make me a deal that day. I flat told him I was still looking at other cars. Finally, he asked, "What will it take for you to sign the papers today?" I replied, "I'm not buying a car today. Just give me a price and financing terms." The manager then told me that I was wasting their time by running a credit check if I wasn't going to buy a car that day. I got up and left.

By the time I got home, the sales rep had called and left a message, apologizing and promising to make it worth my while to come back and talk pricing. I knew by the tone of the message that the manager went ahead and ran my credit report (now without my consent) and then had second thoughts about running me out of his office. I didn't bother to call those p*****s back.

If Elk Grove Honda is still run by the same manager, I wouldn't do business with those worthless ****s if they were the only Honda dealership in the Sacramento valley. Eat **** and die, you dwarf.

Thanks for the tips. I did end up going through Sunnyvale. He was the only one willing to find the one we wanted. We're picking up tomorrow.
