I think that's the problem and why it won't work; most people aren't going to squander the money. Most people will keep it or pay bills, both of which doesn't stimulate the economy as much as squanderring it.

I will do my part to protect our economy by squandering my stimulus.
So hard to decide what to spend it on. Whatever it is I will make sure it is some I don't need.

Edit:
$1200 should just about cover gettomg one of these and feeding it for a month.

The dog not the toy... or maybe, both he'll need something to play with.
