The bearing on my video card fan is failing, so that gave me an excuse to purchase a new computer and video card yesterday . My old card is about 5 years-old (Radeon X800) and the computer/hard drives are about 4 years-old (this will become my new living room Media Center PC).

The new video card is a Geforce 8600 GTS, Tom's Hardware gave that chipset a good rating for the price. The new PC is just an HP a6400f (I'm lazy) Pentium Dual-Core E2200 (2.2GHz). It would've cost more to build a PC from scratch (especially with the price of Vista).

I love my HP office jet but absolutely hate their HP servers, PCs, software, storage, ummm...yeah that covers it mostly. Oh yeah, not big on their service or prices either (a 10/100/1000 NIC is like $1100 for a server )

Not talking ****, but that's why I requested a check. I've never had good expereinces with direct deposits that don't do validation/test beforehand

But I have to wait until next month for my check :|

My current PC is an HP, I hate the case design (their stupid proprietary media bay for an external hard drive takes up half the case), but it's worked great for the past 4 years.

The new one has a better case design BTW.

H&R Block ****ed me and instead of getting my check direct deposited (like how my tax refund was) my economic stimulus check is getting mailed to me. Without any notification from H&R block

My business partners don't have couches with hooks I don't think. But if you compare a NIC for an AIX server, HP NICs are considerably more expensive.
