E85

Hello, so im debating on running e85 but i live in marysville and the closest station is like 30miles away. Is anyone running e85 in the yuba/marysville area?? any possible solutions to get E85 closer to this area?? Can i order a drum of it to my house?? any input woul be great!

you can always get a 5 gallon drum, just make sure it doesnt sit too long

Yeah i think im going to have to just fill a couple 5 gallon cans . Im waiting on a call from a company i found that deals with fuel. He is doing some research to see if he can get me a 55gallon drum!! if so i will have a little station in the garage!! oh anD javi i have a fresh built motor in break in mode now sir just waiting on the tune!!

I use it in all my cars. Its amazing. But like others said: be careful with storing it, it is very delicate to climate/etc and actually can "go bad"

so a 55 gallon drum might not be [possible...how long is it good ? or does that all depend on the weather?

It's mostly about exposure to humidity. The ethanol takes on water quickly so you have to make sure it's stored in an air tight container and never exposed to water moisture.

Hey Ed thanks for the info!! Do you know where i can get a drum of it? By the way i cant wait until you tune this thing im getting tired of the low rpms haha.

I heard e85 is essentially bad for your engine but I know so many people run e85 for HP gains. What's the pros and cons because a gas station in woodland just got e85. Thanks sorry for asking in your thread

How does an E85-tuned WRX handle smog testing? Do you switch to stock DP for the test? Or do you have to retune for gasoline?
