Good morning.

What oil and filter does everyone use on their turbocharged subaru?

Just curious.

I was bored this morning and basically melted my brain reading 100+ page threads/discussions/testing and comparisons on both topics. Definitely learned a thing or two despite having my own relatively strong opinions on the matter for years now.

So what say yall?

OEM Filters here. ~$6 from the stealership, **** it.

One of my friends swears by K&N. But he gets them since they have a hex on the end. Making it easy to put a wrench on them.

I bought an oil filter socket. Best thing ever.

And you and your FI requirements.

hmm, haven't even considered motul. what makes it special? and no flame on the oem filters, I'm leaning towards those or purolator myself.

bosch is not bad too from what I gather

K&N is apparently M1 with a nut on the end. And m1 sucks because it is the smallest filter element with a low pressure valve. fail

..again, this is from what I gather on the internetz
