ok thats true. but with enough money and time you could turn a Lamborghini into a rally car. i guess all im trying to say i think they are choosing those cars and making them rally cars because they are "cool". when in reality wrc teams choose their cars and a platform that will best work for them. and rules like a certain amount of that car have to be made annually. cars like a z4 i think would never be considered. thats why i like dirt better because its realistic and more like a simulator. yes i love granturismo. but dirt2 is more like the fast and the furious version of DIRT. bet yes i agree with you i did kinda miss the point about what a rally car is and i keep forgetting that these guys have endless check books and can make any car into a BA rally car.
plays well with others

ii liked dirt 2, but then i cant compare it to anything similar since ive never played the original dirt. I just think its funny in dirt 2 when you race in the country side of china and you can shoot your car off the hill for daaaaays!

well in subaru's case they made the impreza because the legacy was to big and heavy. perfect example. i dont know for sure, but im willing to bet who ever is paying the bill, does not care what kind of car the team is driving. unless its factory like subaru or ford. both companies made cars specifically for wrc. i always knew subaru made the impreza to be more competitive, but i just found out ford made the fiesta with in mind it competing in that new n/a class in the wrc. pretty cool. so i think it depends if your a company like abu dabi or whatever you dont care what car it is as long as the driver is going to do good and be competitive and there logo is everywhere on that car. so why wouldnt it be up to the supporting manufacture or the rally team to choose the car? i dont know any of this for sure and im kinda just talkin out my but. but this logic makes sense to me.
