F att... somebody (probably teichert, they're doing some sidwalk repair in the 'hood) decided to break the phone connection to our subdivision the quick way. ATT came out last Thursday to fix it and apparently missed a few pairs.
I called them several times last week to set up an appt, and every time they came to do any work they reported back that we were "unavailable".
a) i don't need to be home for you to fix any of the wiring outside my house, especially when the problem is 3 blocks down the road.
b) if you try to get ahold of me, it's generally not a good idea to CALL MY GOD DAMN HOUSE PHONE if that's what you're coming out to repair.
c) don't tell me you're sending someone out on a saturday and then tell me on sunday that you never said that.

No but I'm the kid in highschool that they all desperately wanted to hang out with, and they all tried to be my friends but like in highschool I noticed they were ****ing douche bags... i.e. Taking time to make a myspace thing about someone

negative ghostrider. my conversation yesterday went down the route of "if i don't have phone and internet access by close of business monday don't bother sending anyone out, i'll be cancelling my phone / long distance / dsl tuesday morning."

Comcast's phone service is suppose to be pretty good as well, I use Vonage which is about the same thing, so I still have a house phone without going through the phone company.

yeah.. I like the DVR, I can set a series to record, and a few options like to record repeats, only new, or all episodes. The only thing I don't like is that its limited to one channel. perfect example is House, its on USA along with Fox, but I set the series to record on Fox, so it will not pick up anything on USA.
