Car Info: '05 Impreza Outback Sport ~ "WTF! Two-Toned?"
Death feels the same @ 135 mph as 200 mph!!! After high-siding about 3-4 east of Newcomb's on Angeles Crest on my 996 modified Duck, sticking the needle at about 150 mph... I realized as I was tossed off and airborne over the guardrail and on my way to landing 616 ft below (CHP report) I was dead!
Guess what, I wasn't. Landed and stopped with a broken wrist and two busted ribs. But, that was the end of 25 years of sport bikes. I had a 2 week old daughter. Great sport for a single man. Stupid for a 'family man'. Just my .02!
Oh yeah, don't give me "I'll ride safe and at the limit" crap. 2 months later my best riding pal bit it for real on Hwy 33 (Ojai) hit by a pick-up who crossed the double yellow and was turned into a casket riding 50 mph! Now, there are two kids without a Dad and a wife without a husband!
