Eh, didn't take pics, but not matter what I did and how hard I tried, the paint still cracked, right along the seam of the bend. I got the mad skills to paint it though...two coats primer...wet sand...two coats paint...wet sand...clear coat

you can massage most newer cars' fenders w/o chipping cus the paint is still plyable.
but forget no cracks on an older car.

On the second fender, I held the heat gun and moved the fender roller cm's at a time and that seemed to work.

oh man, this weekend was not fun at all. i'm actually looking forward to working this week. we woked probably 12 hours a day both days getting ready for paint. the garage is full of bins and our sectional, as well as the flooring materials and new fridge and oven. the rest of our crap is piled up in the middle of various rooms.
oh, and we're sleeping in the living room for about a week or so. at least the tv is available for 24 tomorrow night.

I feel your pain Russ. I bailed on mountain biking today and it was a good thing too. I just got finished before dark with my water main re-route.
Some progress pics:
New gas meter was set Thursday after the gas line had been re-routed:

Once PG&E was gone, I backfilled the trench a bit and ran the new water main. The tie-ins were finished today:

The inspector will be out tomorrow to sign off on my installation.

On a sad note, I had to take my two biggest oak trees out. The rear one was damaged by all of the trenching and the front one was damaged before I moved in. It was a lot cheaper to drop them now as opposed to after the garage was done.
The big tractor will be in Tuesday to pull the stumps.
