Although SMUD sucks, they have nothing on PG&E.
I was one of those unlucky bastards that had their meter read incorrectly. I am still trying to deal with them for a bill that couldn't be justified with a 10,000sq ft home running on a gas heat in the middle of January.
I especially liked how they treated me like I was the crazy ******* in the initial conversations. Like a $700 bill is completely possible with a 1850sq ft home that stays at a relatively constant temperature all year long without AC or Heat.

The funny thing is that after I left Russ's house, I get a phone call from him.
