SMUD is on my ish-list right now. Luckily we only had minor problems at work when the power came back on yesterday.

Although SMUD sucks, they have nothing on PG&E.

I was one of those unlucky bastards that had their meter read incorrectly. I am still trying to deal with them for a bill that couldn't be justified with a 10,000sq ft home running on a gas heat in the middle of January.

I especially liked how they treated me like I was the crazy ******* in the initial conversations. Like a $700 bill is completely possible with a 1850sq ft home that stays at a relatively constant temperature all year long without AC or Heat.

I'm sure there's probably 1,500 reasons.

The funny thing is that after I left Russ's house, I get a phone call from him.

Russ: Hey what did you mean by SMUD having problems
Ed: Yea, they were having problems earlier today.
Russ: Well my power is out.
Heard in the background: WE HAVE NO POWER!!
Ed: hahahahaha well ummm... sorry.
