i have 17x8s, 255 and the sidewalls would bubble out too much no? they recommend atleast 8.5" rim, i know i could get away with it, but man, how can they not have that 245/40-17!!

Yeah, Falken tires are slightly narrower than normal, so 255 on a 8" is certainly doable, but still not really recommended. But, I must agree, I am shocked they don't have a 245/40/17.
