could someone lend me a hand this SAT in Sac area?
got, an 00 L, putting my front brakes on the rear, putting WRX front brake setup in the front. I know how to do everything except the for the stainless steel brake lines. I just need some room and some help with the brake lines. You can have my old drums (if you want), and I got light up guage faces for the RS/L 95-01 if you want too. Want to have it done in one day, I'm avaible this SAT 3/19 or next sat. I could really use your help. Oh yea I could bring a case of Beer or whatever you drink if you would be so kind to lend me a hand. I'm in Citrus Heights by the way.
Thanks

Umm, how are your front brakes going to transfer to the rear? You know you're losing parking brake, even if there is a way to mount that up.........

Hi everyone!! new to this site but been on NASIOC AND 25rs.com for about 2 yrs, new to the Sacramento area and this seems like the best site as far as members in the area. I'm not an auto pro but I learn something new everytime I log on. Went to meet last week in Natomis (sp?) and hope to get to know the community over here (from Connecticut got here in OCT)
I got a full wrx front brake kit rotors, calipers, brackets, and pads and stainless steel brake lines for the front and rear brakes. I want to take off my rear drums and replace them with my stock 01 L front Rotors, calipers, brackets, and pads.
I don't understand why would I lose my rear E-brake if I did this?

rear disk brakes are usually a disk / drum combo. the disk brake part does your braking while driving, the drum brake would be your park brake. since you want to put your current front brakes in the back, they do not have that park brake stuff built in, so you'd loose the park brake.
unless it's an automatic and then it doesn't really matter.

The front brakes will not fit on the rear, no matter what. Even if you fabbed something to make it work:
A. You're totally throwing your braking system out of whack, and it may fail unexpectedly, your bias will be way off, etc.
B. Nothing you can fab up in a garage is a good idea to use on the one area on your car that truly affects your safety.
C. Again, the rear hub is set up totally different from the front hub, and you'll have no ebrake.
Trust us, we're not trying to rain on your parade, we just don't want you to try to do something to your car that, worse than not making it work better, could result in an accident. We don't want to lose new members.

so maybe the best thing to do is just look for some WRX rear brakes, or I hear the 25 rs rear brakes are the same ones found on the WRX
