Here are some pics from the hike up to the top of Diamondhead:
We had some excitement near the top. We came across a large gentleman who was passed out on the side of the lookout just before the 99 steps to the top. He was white as a ghost and not breathing very well. The paramedics were already on their way so we kept going up. At the top we got to see the Honolulu Fire Department’s helicopter drop the paramedics on a rocky crag. Then it came back with two more paramedics and a basket. They hiked down to the guy, strapped him in, and the helo came back to pick the guy up and give him the ride of his life back to the center of the crater:
