Concealed Radar Detectors

As much as I love my V1, it doesn't fit very well in the Coupe. So I was thinking about running one of the concealed systems like the Escort SR7 or Bel RX75.

Has anyone used either of these systems? What do you think?

I have a customer with an S4...put the V1 main unit in his 3rd brake light housing & has the remote unit installed in the dash.
He says it works very well.

Interesting idea, but it defeats the purpose of using my V1 in multiple vehicles. If I have to do that then I might as well get a concealable system. But maybe I can rig something up towards the back of the hatch to mkae the V1 a quick in and out...

Interesting, but it negates the laser detection ability of the V1.

And I know for a fact that the Roseville PD uses LIDAR.

Another V1 is less expensive than a concealed system, and you end up running a V1 instead of something inferior.

In tests they compare equally (or better) to the V1. In all honesty, as much as I love my V1, it is not the end all be all of radar detectors.

Most likely, I'll find a way to make it work. I was just curious if there were other options out there.

radar jammers are illegal.

laser jammers are regulated by the FCC.... and.. thus LEGAL. completely infact.

and...the V1 doesn't warn you of laser....well....to an extent, most of the time...it lets you know when to pull over.
