Unhappy Be careful out there! 3 Pronounced dead

Got a call this morning from a friends mom, who said her son past away and 2 others from a car crash. It was an i-club member and I was shocked to hear about it and just couldn't believe it.

Just please be careful, I'm sure it will be on the news tonight and tomorrow

It's sad that the one that was driving the car recklessly was the lone survivor.

i didn't see any seat belt status mentioned. Is it known if the passengers had on their belts and if the air bags deployed ?

It sounds like the owner wasn't driving the car, one of his friends was. I hate to hear about this kind of senseless loss.

Do you have other sources? I'm not getting that from the posted article.

Typically they say "It is believed that the victims were not wearing their seat belts." So I'm assuming they at least were wearing them. However, when you hit a tree, you don't have the best chance of survival. Seat belt or not.

Well when I spoke with his mom, she did not say if he was driving but based on the facts from the report and what she told me, he was not driving because he had passed away. Even though the report doesn't say anything about airbags or seatbelts, im sure they wouldn't help when you hit a tree at such a fast speed.

The car, he said, was "absolutely obliterated."
Two of the three victims had been ejected from the car, he said. Pak was wearing a seat belt, Byers said.
Investigators were forced to identify the victims through fingerprints because they carried no identification or cell phones, he said.
damn thats terrible

The victim is actually my co-workers neighbor. And he is the passenger/owner of the 06 silver sti. It also sucks coz he's the only child and really loves his car.
