had a little situation at the smog place today:
took in a 2011 sti, all stock except aem cai. had the sticker on it so Im' thinking ok its fine.
they fail visual saying it's a modified intake. well herp derp of course it is, look at the carb sticker. so they did. apparently there are 2 different carb stickers, one ofr 08-10 and one for 08-14. only difference in CARB EO # is the last digit. the one on this car is 08-10. he won't let it slide, even though it's the same car as 08-10, and the same intake, and literally everything is legit except the sticker is off one last number. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
so I had to go home and swap the stocker back on. what a joke.
but now I'm wondering: would AEM be able to provide the "updated" sticker even though the intake was bought used, and years ago? probably not but who knows
