boost problem.... thought i'd ask here...

i recently went out to find what psi i am peaking at when im driving, i have catless down, uppipe, drop in, and of course cat back.. anyways on my stock boost guage, it is peaking at around .05-.06 MPa.. which when i convert it over to psi, its only coming out to around 9 psi.... could there be something wrong with the conversion calculater that im using or is it true that i am peaking at 9 psi?? if this is true what can i do to get it back to the normal 13.5-15??

Have you touched any of the boost lines going to/from the turbo or boost control solenoid?

Check the lines. There should be a diagram under the hood.

<---I'm guessing.

Or you have a leak in your uppipe that I hope you would have heard.

ok i will do that, could a leak in the intercooler hose/bov cause the car to loose boost?? but see the weird thing about the whole this, is that ill be in third gear (or any other gear for that matter) and i will punch it and the guage shoots up to .06 and stays there, its not like it jumps or changes boost, when im on WOT..

well from what i remeber it has been at that MPa before i put on the uppipe/downpipe... and i noticed a big increase in power when i put the downpipe on... but i mean if there was a leak, wouldnt the boost be spiking?

MPa is Mega Pascals or 100 pascals.

.1 MPa = 1 Bar = 14.5 PSI.

sorry to break the convo... but can we get back on track.. every gear maxes out at .06 which is weird because what i heard is that 5th gear is supposed to max out at like 9 PSI, and if there was a leak in my uppipe or anywhere else causing the boost to drop, then wouldnt my fifth gear be peakin boost alot lower than the .06MPa like every other gear??
