Black Friday (Friday thread)

I was contemplating heading over to Best Buy at midnight to camp out for an Xbox 360, but decided against it. That's all.

Hope everyone recovers okay from yesterday!

Good morning. Probably good that you didn't get the X-box. The news was saying that many of them weren't working properly after an hour or so.

Black Friday...sounds like a race thing. Maybe there are so many good deals because the merchandise is stolen?

Have any of you used those shopping services for the yahoo! auctions in Japan??? I might get some stuff from there, found some Cusco Zero-2 E's with the motors and everything for $750!!! Even with shipping its still cheaper than here.

I haven't used those services (though I've looked into them) but I think they charge quite a bit for the privilege.

Well, I found a place last night where you subscribed to it just like ebay, no fees, but shipping was limited to 30kg and a less than 2 meter square type package (so things like exhausts, trannys, bodykits, other large heavy items are out). It was interesting to note the price differences on some of the items compared to here. That Zero-2E package was used, so that's why it was so cheap, but brand new it was just a little bit less than what we would pay for it here new. You could tell what goes for quality over there versus here, Tein was about $700 brand new for a set of Flex's, and you could pick up a set of Ohlin's with independant oil reservoirs for $1700, but the Cusco's, HKS Dampers (they have like 10 kinds), Syms and Zerosports dampers were all the same price or just a tad less. Oh, for exhausts, there were 10+ pages of Fujitsubo exhausts, kinda popular I guess.

I hear ya. I washed my wagon on Wednesday also. First time in like 3 weeks that I'd washed it too

Well, no big. I slept like a baby last night. 14 hours - I haven't slept that long since well before the beginning of the semester. I guess the lack of sleep from so much oncall, school and all the wedding stuff finally caught up with me. I feel GOOD
