driving back down from the gay area tonight at about 12:15 in Gilroy (Gilroy Outlets) southbound there was traffic for about 6 miles and northbound maybe 2 or so miles

for me, black friday wasn't the worst part about working retail. i could actually handle coming at 5:30 AM to make sure the store was set, staying after an extra 2 hours because there simply aren't enough people on the sales floor, and even dealing with the insanity that starts 15 seconds before the doors open.
to me, the following 30 days or so up until two days after christmas was the worst part. 1 day of extreme hell does not compare to 30 days of very-close-to-extreme hell.
and i'll be damned if i do any major shopping today!
