Big O-wned...
So I went to Big O tires off of Fulton today to get an alignment done. Just before shutting the car off I decided to clear out the peak values on my PSI3 OBDII meter just to make sure they did not take any liberties with the STI while it was there. Not 100% sure why I did this, but the fact that I hate people and believe that all of you are evil on the inside may have had something to do with it.
OK so fast forward an hour or so when they were done with my car and just after I paid for the alignment and got back in to the car. I decided to see what the peak values in the meter said since they did road test the car after the alignment. Imagine my shock and surprise when I saw that the car had been brought to just under 7K rpm and to a peak road speed of 104mph. Keep in mind the car only had about 880 miles on it at the time and is still in the break in period where it is supposed to be kept under 4,000 RPM.
So I went back in to talk to the manager who informed me that there was no way that the car was driven that hard and asked me to prove it. The look of shock on his face when I showed him the peak values was priceless. I had him write on the ticket that the car was brought to red line on the post alignment test drive (he did not put the MPH down) and sign the paperwork. He then told me that the alignment tech would be fired and I left.
Needless to say, I think I have scratched yet another alignment shop off of my list of possible places to go.

It is a DIN sized accessory that plugs into your OBDII port (or maybe somewhere else for a more permenant install) and displays the OBDII information in real time. Very cool toy.
