Baseball cards don't seem so bad now

I'm no longer depressed that my once valuable baseball cards aren't worth the paper they're printed on now that I found these guys: http://www.vgg.com/swingline/index.html

Hello! Welcome to the Swingline Owner's Club Web Page! I'm Lionel Simca, and, as you are probably aware, I am an avid amateur staplist and a collector of classic Swingline staplers.

I started the Swingline Owners Club (SOC) here in Chapel Hill, NC, and, though the Swingline parent company won't publically or privately acknowledge our existance, I take their hostile silence and the restraining orders sent by several of their key executives as a silent but forceful nod of approval of my organization.
Haha.

What other obscure crap do people collect?

You obviously don't appreciate fine office implements

This is by far the finest implement for insert steel into paper:

You can thank pokemon and the million of other things adults and industry has introduced into kids lives. Cards no longer hold the interest of the riddlin generation. I like to think of it like Saturday morning and after school cartoons... there used to be a handful of great shows that you and I remember and reminisce about. But now there's so many programs kids can't even keep track of them all. The demand for our cards has been diluted tenfold.

well i remember when the pokemon CCG had been out for a bit, the 1st edition Charrizzard hit like $3000 at one point, which for those who played Magic, was more than a Beta Black Lotus was worth back then. 'course the Charizzard isn't worth nearly that much now, and the Lotus has gone on to more than twice that value last time i checked.

<------ still has a huge box of Magic cards on his dining room table.

I sold my magic cards my freshman year of highschool (92' I think?), with a black lotus and other rare cards for about $50 I just got tired of it, you should've seen the other magic card freaks lusting after the cards I had, creepy.

I have a McGwire rookie card, that was worth a pretty penny at one point.
