Figured since we have a thread for reoccurring meets, events, and Sac Raceway, we should make one for Autocross events. I go to most local events and barely ever see any Subis out there so i figured by sharing event information we might see a bigger Subi turn out at the local AutoX events.

Same old Honda. Look for a 94 Civic red hatchback w/black hood.

The 86 is still in progress.

 

Nice! Is the civic a hatchback that's race prepped? There are a couple guys i have raced with a couple times that have a hatchback civic thats race prepped and they are very fast, just wondering if it was you haha.

 

My Civic look just like any other civic on the street but without all that jdm hella flush crap. I autox regularly with SCCA Sacramento chapter.

 

O cool, okay yeah not the same dude i was thinking of. Maybe i've seen you out there. Still pretty new and cars been down a lot lately so havent made it out too much lately to Mather, been to San Joaquin a lot.

Great day out at the AutoX. Definitely impressed with the PCA, very well ran event. Car did great, driver needs work lol! Actually did really good and was pretty proud of myself. Anyway onto some pictures and a quick video of one of my runs.

This was the course:


The course and the grid. It was all concrete, smooth, and amazing; what an awesome surface to race on. It was also HUGE, i believe they said it was 800'x600'.


Each run group was lined up on the grid, no moving 10 feet then stopping, waiting in line to run. The flagger would pull you out of your stall and you would have to wait maybe a minute to run. Definitely helped with my heat soak.

I love this new autox site. Even with worn out slick, the car did great. If I remember correctly the next event is on Oct 21 on the same site.

 

There were about 30 Porsche and 28 other make and model. Great turn out!

 

Great turn out! The site is awesome! Yes the next one is on the 21st of October. There is an AAS event this coming saturday at Marina but im not sure if my car will be ready in time or if i want to drive that far. There is a Corvette Club event in Rio Vista on the 6th of October, trying to track down details, supposed to be pretty cool.

By the way, you are a great driver!!! I love the fact that your Civic hatch back on worn out slicks was running 50s and a new Z06 on slicks was running 49s. again great driving man, i need to get some pointers from you next time we are out there together.

 

Thanks. Best time I got was a 50.6xxx but didn't get that on video. GoPro battery was dead. Guess that what happen when you forget to charge the night before.

This video of my second best run 50.789 from the morning 2nd run. It was hard to drive on worn out slicks. I'm gonna try and make the 10/21 event with new tires.

 

DAMN! That was a clean line, very smooth. I got killed on that last turn before the finish, just couldnt seem to get it right.
