Threw my Group N pitch stop in the Foz during my lunch break.
While the Group N part looked almost identical to the stock pitch mount, the isolator is considerably stiffer in the upgraded piece.
After a quick and trouble free install I took the car around the neighborhood and noticed quite a difference.
1. Shift action is even more positive than when I just changed out the tranny mount the other day
2. That split second "delay" or "drivetrain slop" that I would feel on occasion when shifting from 1st to 2nd was virtually eliminated (note: it was considerably lessened from stock with just the upgraded trans mount)
3. There is more vibration coming through the shift handle (+NVH)
4. No additional noises/trans whine heard
5. STI intercooler actually held a hairsbreadth away from AC line (it was contacting/rubbing before)
I was surprised that adding the pitch stop created more NVH (most acutely noticed through the shift handle) while the tranny mount by itself did not noticeably increase NVH *at all*.
Well, back to work!

Right? I was surprised as well. If I were nervous about adding NVH to my car I'd do just the trans mount and not the pitch stop.
Then again this is a Forester XT with a 5MT and not a STI so your mileage may (very likely will) vary. ;-)

haha well thanks for the feedback. I'm just real sensitive to it because I've driven a few Subaru's with stiffer mounts before and it was a drastic and very annoying NVH increase. daddy wants quietness, with the only exception being the sound of a spooling turbo

I hear that! That's why I have a quiet, sedate daily and the Foz is for fun time.
Even so, that's the reason I chose the Group N parts vs. the poly aftermarket units out there. Didn't want to go too far into "really slow race car" territory. :-p
