EDIT: I think you're talking about how the lines are routed and covered with the black plastic. Ya. APS makes them that way and that's how you're supposed to route them. I can't stand the over the top routing of the perrins.

I think I deviated in two places.
1. the passenger side front line I think I routed under more stuff.
2. the clamp that holdds down the two tees at the rear of the motor was slightly different than the instructions.

It's not a bafle/trap door like some pans have to keep the oil near the pickup.
