My laptop got stolen by friend of my roommate.
It's a silver Dell Inspiron 6000, made in 2006
Noticeable marks: wear on mouse pad, no charger, lilttle "bump" on the lid
The laptop doesnt work without the charger.
The laptop itself is not worth much but I have lots of important files on it, such as all my designs and projects from university, pics, etc.

I like to help you out, but I think it is best to pester your "roommate"

Are you certain it was your roommates friend?

 

A simple solution to preventing this in the future is to not share a home with drug addicts.

I actually went to the CHPD and reported stolen property. I don't believe in them anyways. They are good only pulling people over

 

Actually.. You would be surprised what they'd do if you actually told them that your roommate / friend stole it.

They aren't a lost and found.. If you gave them details they might actually follow up on it.

Edit - besides.. If it was a friend of your roommate.. Uhm.. You could easily have a little heart to heart with the roomie and convince him that it would be in his best interests to make sure you get it back..
