I have a $20 mp3 player, works beautifully.

You take your song, drag it from the folder its in into the removable drive and BAM!! the song plays.

Ipod you have to **** with that godaweful itunes program & press 6 buttons to put a ****ing song on.

It is overly complicated. Not by limitation but by design because they want you using their ****ty software which pisses me off. There is NO REASON for you to have to use itunes for an ipod other than that apple wants you to. They are cramming it down your throats & you are sucking it up like jeremy sucks up jizz.

it's true though, I never knew "Drag and Drop" was overcomplicated to anyone!

I'm pretty sure all I gotta do is open iTunes... click on MyIpod.... then ctrl click all the songs I wanna add to the iTunes, then drag them onto my ipod and hit the sync button.... Done....

I find it quite ironic that the company (Apple) that pioneered drag&drop and user friendly interfaces forces i-pod owners to use this crappy i-tunes thing.

For the record, I tried to steer the kid away from an i-pod, but he's 14 and all of his friends have one, and all the adult wisdom in the world falls deaf on a 14 year old. At least I got a good "I told you so" in last night.

Ok well mine, there is no software- works like a removable flash disk.

click song, drag onto removable drive and it works.

No itunes, no syncing, no ejecting, nothing.

Drag. Drop.

Could apple have made ipod this intuitive? sure they could have but they didnt because they want to force even PC users to deal with their cryptic bull**** software.

It IS overcomplicated like it or not.

It's no different then any palm device or smart phone, they all make you syn the exact same way and use "their" software... I have also seen some mp3's that make you use their software also

It isn't overly complicated if you use iTunes

Personally, I like iTunes more than anything else out there I have tried (which is very limited). I would hardly call iTunes cryptic, but then again, I'm used to Apple (and other non-MS) software.

my creative works both ways, i can use their program, which is easy, or i can drag and drop it directly into the player without using their program

I had the same problem, Mike. I erased thousands of songs my buddy had to include some very rare recordings when I tried to download his songs to my computer. It wouldn't recognize my computer. I was scared to death to tell him face to face but it turned out that he had everything backed-up.

and thats what I like about the Zune. As long as the song does not have DRM, then you can copy to and copy from the Zune with no issue to any computer.
