I used to fish. I actually have an un-unsed St Croix fly fishing rod (I forget all the details on it) I never got a reel for it so I never used it. It comes in a hard protective tube case thingy. If anyone is interested just let me know. I think I have some other crap (of unknown quality) laying around too. I know I have a regular rod and reel if anyone is looking for one for their kid

Mbasile. FYI, All Fly Rods should come in a type of protective Tube. I'd be interested in the rod if you're implying that you're willing to part with it. But Reels aren't too expensive. You should try to get out again.

sweet, ill try some of those ponds one of these days...there are salmon in the american right now, but there numbers are poor, i'd wait til theres a run and not a trickle...around the end of september.. there are still shad in the american yes, but from what ive read, its towards the end of their season..but i'd say its still possible to hook into some

I'm too busy now adays to go out and fish. When I get home I'll check out what length it is (I know its a St Croix rod) and then you can make an offer. I've honestly never used it even, lost interest and time before I had a chance.

Deprived In Southern Oregon!

I am an voracious fly fisherman (salt or fresh). But, in my neck of the woods I fish the Rogue, Williamson, Applegate, Little Sacramento for Trout and Steelhead. And a dozen little creeks with wild Rainbows and Brook Trout with a tiny 2 weight and a good cold beer and cigar (sort of like 'miniture golf'... Fishing, but just for the giggles)!

come on, it'd only be an 8 hour round trip

The rod is a St. Croix Imperial IFT865 8'6"

heres a store that sells it online:
http://redrockstore.com/Catalog/inde...on=show_detail

if you actually want it I can do it for $100 shipped, I'll put it in a poster tube

yeah, I still have the tube case which is where the rod has been for years. I have the handle portion out right now and it still looks perfect. I'll look over the other 3 parts too though.
