Talking Another flat 4...

Just thought I'd say hello.
Quick run down:
06 WRX Wagoon
Cobbs on order (AccessPORT CA 91oct version)
pwn3d for 2 weeks
lurked for 4 years

Converted from VW to Subaru... actually havent converted fully. I still have/love my '60 ragtop. The damn car makes my wife jealous. I enjoy the hell out of the car. Traded in my 2003 20th AE GTI (#3186) for the WRX wagon. I have wanted the WRX wagon since it came to the states (always liked the idea of an RS wagon before then). The only reason I didn't get it was that I have been stationed overseas since early 1998. Now I finally got it. If you see a java black '06 WRX wagon cruizin around with a woman and 2 kids... its my wife. If you get passed like your standing still by a 60 beetle.. it's me

Welcome. '04 wagon owner here, Java Pearl Black. Congratulations on your purchase. You'll have a he** of a lot of fun with it. Be warned, you may get mod fever. It's fatal to your wallet. lol

Been there/done that .... a few times over... last rendition... my 20th had a GT2871r conversion, FMIC, quaife, haltech SA/ECU, 3"GHL TB (V banded of course), LM wide band, 42lb bosch green tops, forge TIP, raxles... blah blah blah. Sank a cool 9-10K into that thing. With the Bogarts and M&H cheaters... 12.113 was my best 1/4 (never made 11s). I hurt a couple STI's in Deutschland. They'd get me in the 60... by the 1/8th, they'd been reeled in... stick a fork in 'em. When I got back to the states, I got pulled over 3 times in the first month... noise. Local area cops in Roseville always said the same thing, "that don't look stock. Here is a 30 day smog test." Yeah... so I'd put back as close to stock as possible (K03s, GHL2.5 TB with cat, stock injectors, stock SMIC and plumbing, stock ecu with APR progs, clear all codes with VAG-com)I've done that 3-4Xs this past year. Minor mods only for the WRX.

I am not doing that to this car. Just a program, exhaust w/up/downpipe, rims and suspension, shifter... it's our family car! That is what the bug is for! I can get away with murder.. no smog... 82 stroke, 94 wisecos, FK89 bump stick, 2276 with a set of Weber 48IDAs. Gonna be searchin' for mid 12's. see you guys at the NASAs.

Looks like we fond Lowball's doppelganger!!

BTW, you know what would round out that accessPORT nicely?

A custom tuned map, of course.

Welcome to i-club. I'm also a convert from the VW world (mkIII gti vr6 with a vortech blower, 42# injectors, custom chip that I tuned, quaiffe, etc, etc). I got the WRX in 03 and never looked back. AWD is just too much fun. Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Thanks
