Almost bought an STi yesterday

Radio Shack was selling them for only $50!

http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=60%2D8013

I was talking to the sales clerk, who was telling me the whole story of how he found out that he has hypoglycemia (or hyper, can't remember). He said he has around 20 of these and was able to mod the board on one to accept 12v, which made it go nearly twice as fast as normal.

What are your thoughts on the Xmods line? Is there a better or cheaper line to go with that has an STi body kit?

Make sure you get a downpipe and BOV for it.

you can always go with the microR/C's (Bit-charG type) but they're not much fun unless you have cats! I have a couple...STi & Skyline...

i've heard the R/S XMod are decent to bash into things with...
much cheaper than say an HPI Micro or Lossi Micro R/C....

for $50 you can't complain...(unless you want a freakin WAGON! )

I was thinking of adding supertones and doing an ECU reflash.

I have two Xmods, and they are pretty cool, but they aren't serious RC cars at all. They are fun, but a bear to work on, and not very well designed.

They are fun to drift though

I had 2 xmods.... (see Josh's post).
They are fun for a little while, but they break easy. 2 years ago they were a hit in Reno. There was even a thread on SECCS for it, but no one plays with theirs anymore.

Here's sperry's Endless Skyline. Took him so long to make it, he doesn't even drive it.
He's also got a yellow skyline with a 6 battery mod.

HOT. Maybe we should start this up at the Sacramento meets.
