4 weekends of hard labor down the drain...
My father-in-law and I have spent 4 weekends building a dog run so i can re-build my backyard and keep it in good shape. We poured a concrete perimiter with a slab for the doghouse. dug a shallow pit inside and filled the area with pea gravel. built and installed a huge doghouse. the entire area is fenced in with 6' high chain link fence. we finally got it all done and ready to use yesterday evening.
so wtf happens on the first day? i pull into the garage and hear barking so i'm thinking "ah good, they're nice and safe in there". i take some stuff into the house and hear something barking in my back yard... there's one of my dogs looking at me through the patio door.
according to neighbors accounts, one of teh mutts climbs the fence and jumps over the wood fence (less than a foot away from the pen) and crashes into a bush. then, the b1tch gets scared and gets a running start and jumps_right_into the part of the yard we're trying to keep them out of :angry: guess i gotta get enough fencing to cover the top now too.

You need that electric shock collar where you set up a perimeter of wiring and if the dogs cross the perimeter - ZAP.
