"...5 hours of battery of talk time, video, and browsing. 16 hours of audio playback."
I don't know if that's good for most high end phones nowadays or not, but if I can't have the thing last on me more than 8 hours or so, doing more than just play music, I'm going to have to hold off until the battery lasts much longer. Guess I'll just keep lugging around my cheap *** phone and nano/zen w/psp a little while longer.

Truth be told I was more interested in the other features besides the phone. I watch alot of movies and other non-work stuff while I'm at work (I'm such a dedicated employee, haha). My zen w can last about 4-5 hours playing movies, I don't imagine the iPhone would last longer.
But then again, looking at the price of the unit, and the storage on it all, I think I'll just pass on the whole thing. Very nice little piece of hardware though.

$499 for 4GB
$599 for 8GB
(w/ 2 year contract with Cingular, probably ~$75 a month if you want the internet data plan too).
Hot, but I think I'll pass. Not worth the Sprint ETF. If we were talking storage able to replace my current iPod, then I'd consider it. But, since we're talking Nano HD sizes, I guess my Apple hard-on is softening.

Yeah the iPhone looks HOT. I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet to see how small it is, but I wonder if it's small enough to fit in jeans pockets like the Dash? I also wonder how well the on-screen keyboard works.
I'm kinda stuck with T-Mobile for a while anyways, and I'm not willing to pay $40 for a data plan that I only use once or so per day.
But I still want it.
