2011 Cobb access port question
2011 Cobb access port question
Hi all-
I've been thinking about picking up the access port from Cobb to open my wrx up. Probable get a downpipe too- catback a little later down the road.
Anyways, saw that it's $600. Wondering if A: anyone already has one and is willing to share (for a fee of course) or B: if anyone with a 2011 wrx is interested in splitting the cost. Please let me know.
I do understand that I'm a newb here so I appreciate any help or advice on the subject. Thanks for looking, Jim

You can't share them. Cobb is not that stupid: it swaps maps with your cars ecu and is "married" to it exclusively.
If you don't want to waste money on a cobb accessport, get an opensource custom tune for half the price: it will be much more powerful and efficient than a Cobb OTS map anyway.

Thanks Vladi! Yeah, that makes sense. I was at maita the other day getting my oil
changed and the parts guys made it sound like the Cobb access port was the way to go. I appreciate the response and will start to do some research on open source tuning. Thanks again!

Cobb offers a few neat things on the AP you cannot get with OS Tuning. Look into thier product and if you like those things then go for it.
If you are just planning on adding parts here and there then stay open source which is where your tuner will basically flash your ecu with a tune optimized for your parts, and it is usually cheaper.
FTR I like my COBB Accessport.
