I'd guess if the WRX got bumped to 2.5L, it'd share the exact same setup as the Legacy GT, Forester XT, ect. So that'd be 250hp w/ a better 5-speed than the current WRX 5-speed... which means it'll be just an exhaust and reflash away from being faster than the STi. However, it will still be missing the 6MT w/ DCCD, the Brembos, the suspension and the badges. And anyone that's driven both a tuned WRX and a stock STi know, those extras count for a *lot*... the STi isn't just about the 300/300.
