Yay, so third party debt collectors are harassing my parents to pay a debt that was already negotiated and paid to Chase two years ago. I've talked to them nearly every week for the past two months and have sent letters telling them to cease and desist and asking for validation of debt and they have been giving me the run around. They are using illegal tactics - sharing personal financial information, calling me at work, trying to get my parents to pay them, etc.

I looked them up on BBB... big surprise, they have an "F".

We got a collection call last year for my wife's mother. She called them back, said "we don't know where she is, do not EVER call this home again or our response will come from our lawyer."

They haven't called back.

I got a call on my cell phone one time from a collector for my mom. I ****ing went off on the lady because it was the second time she called. The first time I was in class so I didn't answer, then she called when I was going to get lunch. I got pissed that she tried to disturb me in class the first time. She tried to give me an attitude on top of it! What I learned to do is get the name and direct number of the person right when they called, and then asked for the address to send the cease and desist letter, that way when they "got disconnected" or put me on hold for 10 minutes I knew how to get ahold of them

 

more like EDS is going to infect HP.
