Meh....

I'm drinking in comisseration of my best buddy (of over twenty years) getting canned today from LucasArts in SF.

His team just released the video game version of the latest Indiana Jopnes movie on Tuesday and gets "laid off" today.
He and his coworker were drinking tall boys in GG Park earlier today...10am...

So, don't buy the new Indiana Jones game.....

Nah...some bean counters decided 75 plus people didn't need to support their families.

BTW...my friend lives in "L" section of RP...near the Hub in Cotati..drives a POS red acura.

Maybe is Lucas Arts would come up with a new game design they wouldn't have to cut people. The CEOs don't get affected, the worker bees suffer from their choices. Everyone invest into mod chips and DVD burners.

Video game industry is one of the most fly by night industries around. Out with the old in with the new. Unless you're well established with a leading developing franchise, Bungie's Halo, Rock stars GTA. You're gonna get the boot. Luckily they are always making new games so jobs are there just don't count on a pension.

Most movies made into video games suck.
