 that's funny.....(well to me atleast)

that would be more like acceleration contests.....

would it be called a race though? It's organized by a group of people but not really people with "racing" experience...

Anyway....Shevon, tell your friend to race in a controled evironment next time...that way he won't be putting his life in danger everytime he goes to the events like the one where you took your pictures.

I'm sorry, but it's not racing unless you have to steer in both directions, use a gas pedal/clutch pedal/brake pedal and use your brain.

Tell em Gary, he's just shifting and holding on. Plus, can you brag about beating an Accord in any config? I think not lol, but maybe that's just me.

Mr. Macky says, "Kids, street racing is bad, mmkay?"
I guess those folks in the thread about "I don't like the name road racing" were right - simple folk like our friend Shevon here don't know the difference (or could he just be a troll? )

Hello,

Gary, you saying NASCAR ain't racing? Them's fighting words. Oh wait, they're fighting words only when I speak them and you kick my butt for saying NASCAR isn't racing.

Wait, wait, wait. Your description also means that autocross is real racing! Unless you mean that auto-x doesn't need brains.

Aww, shoot, street driving is even racing... though most people seem to convert it to non-racing by turning off their brains.

Joel, in a funky facetious mood.

Yeah, street racing is bad.

Plus, EVEN IF you decided to go street racing, why the heck are you racing Integras and Accords? I mean come on, now. Come on!

Joel,

Nascar is real racing. They turn right and left at Sears Point and Watkins Glen. If Nascar raced only on road circuits, I would watch it all the time. But they don't, so I don't.
