TxSpeed, an underdog race team, needs your help. Would you commit to join forces with other Texas businesses and Subaru enthusiasts to support TxSpeed?

We have an asset that you can leverage for yourself or your business. We know that for your help, you or your business must receive a return on investment. For some, that return might entail being a part of the action, for others it is reaping joy from helping others succeed and most businesses want a marketing plan that drives business to their door. In our proposal, we have outlined many options to accomplish meeting your needs in this partnership. First, we want you to understand who we are and what we have achieved.

We are focused on a passionate endeavor to maintain the teams lead in the SCCA’s Southwest Divisional T2 Championship and in the fight for the T2 Title at the infamous SCCA National Championship Runoffs®. We are competing in a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI against BMW M3’s, 350Z Nissan’s, Chevy Camaro’s, Dodge SRT 4’s, Cadillac CTS’s, Porsche Boxter’s, Pontiac Firebird’s, and a few other marques. Additionally we are competing against teams that have factory backing and deep pockets. Though the SCCA classifies our level of racing as amateur, the level of competition is professional and the marketing and exposure through SCCA Racing and The Runoffs® is astounding.

On our own and with some initial sponsorship we have been able to accomplish numerous wins and gaining exposure. Our proposal addresses these in detail. As a summary, TxSpeed’s Subaru STI is raced by team owner, Jay Matus. The team has fiercely competed in 10 SCCA events since February 2005 resulting in Jay Matus being:
• The SW Division Regional Champion,
• The current leader in the points for the SW Division National
Championship, and
• Earning the invitation to The SCCA Runoffs®.

PACE AMERICAN is supplying the transport and tool/equipment trailer. Subaru of Dallas and Chris Flemmings has sold us parts at discounts and provided us with much needed knowledge as we go through R&D. Kris Swift and Steve Brannon, Subaru enthusiast, have been known to let the team borrow parts off their daily driver cars so that TxSpeed could stay in the lead for the Championships. Deanna Lewis, best friend, has been there for encouragement and though she is not a mechanic, she is often found helping with mechanical fixes by holding drop- lights and getting needed tools. JC Matus, father, has transported the winning Subaru and team all over the state of Texas. LucasRacingInc.com has helped us build a championship contending car in a very short amount of time and with no previous R&D on this car.

Furthermore, the personal investment of finances, time and raw heart that the owners of TxSpeed have committed to achieving their goals and dreams is an asset that you can leverage for yourself or your business. Jay and Shannon Matus are middle-class Americans with regular non-motor sports jobs and take everything left after the bills are paid to put towards their racing business. Against the odds, Jay and Shannon have been able to create a motor sports business in addition to having successful careers in other fields. The TxSpeed Team, exemplifies the words, “Living, Breathing, Eating and Sleeping” passions when it comes to their hobbies, relationships and work. The Team has successfully integrated their fervor for motor sports, family/friends and entrepreneurship to EXPLODE into a recognized: Leader, Influencer and Resource in the motor sports and performance automotive industry.
