Stuff Needed for a Track Day
Hi all.
Going to be doing a Track Day in January and I was wondering what you guys recommend me to bring. I'll bring my auto-x stuff. That'll be tools, tub of misc items, helmet, camping chairs, liquids (drinks and motor oil), and my Nintendo DS. I am currently working on getting an air tank and a tire pressure gauge. Those will come in handy too. Anything you guys recommend I bring? TIA. |
hmmm a good car ( pointing out the obvious )
|
Hehe. Thanks for the bump. I wonder if there is an electric outlet in the paddock area. I'll bring an electric grill and an extension cord. Hot Dogs!!! Haha. I am thinking about brining a small cooler to put water and Gatorade in. That sounds like a good idea.

WHERE YA GOIN!??? is it your first time??? i did my first one at button willow. OMG talk about fun.
|
Here's what I usually bring:
Helmet (some tracks rent them too) Tools Pressure Gauge Air Compressor/Tank Chairs Sunglasses Credit Card for gas ID Tech Inspection Form (filled out) Wheel Chocks Jack Jackstands Ramps Brake Fluid Oil Water Brake Pads Camera Lap timer Gloves Window cleaner I think I might be forgetting a couple of things. I have all of my stuff in milk crates already packed for track day. |
Good list. I didn't think about the wheel chock or brake fluid. I'll print out this list. Looks pretty complete to me.

T-hill in January. Yeah, this will be my first event. |

If you think it's a big event, get there early,Kev. There's limited covered parking space. Comes in handy to park there if it's raining. |
I guess I'll have to do that. Hehe. I want to try to avoid buying new stuff. I figure that there are people who have extra air tanks and tire pressure gauges. They can clean out their garage, and I can get cheaper stuff. Win-win situation.
One of these days, we need to invest in a canopy for auto-x, especially toward the spring and summer. |

Oh. I still should invest in an air tank for auto-x, but thanks for the heads up.

Totally. We can work out some arrangement. Morning runs brings it and puts it up. Afternoon groups take it apart and takes it home.
