The first event of the 2003 Evolution Performance Driving School SEDiv Solo2 Divisional Series is set to take place on the infamous "Black Lake" at Michelin's Laurens Proving grounds in Laurens, SC on March 29-30!! For those of you unfamiliar with "The Black Lake", it's the smoothest, 600' x 1,400' piece of asphalt this side of the Mississippi! It was also pictured in a recent issues of Grassroots Motorsports.
Registration is now open, so go to www.sedivsolo2.com for registration and lodging information. And register soon as we expect a huge turnout and may have to impose a limit on entries.
This event will be co-hosted by both the Central Carolina AND South Carolina Regions and plans to be one to remember!
2003 Divisional Schedule
Divisional #1 March 29-30 CCR & SCR Lauren, SC Michelin Proving Grounds
Divisional #2 June 14-15 Atlanta, GA Turner Field
Divisional #3 July 26-27 Tennessee Nashville, TN Nashville Superspeedway

SEDiv Solo2 Team Members Wanted!
Starting with the first event of the 2003 series the SEDiv Solo2 Series will be staffed by a traveling team of Solo2 volunteers. Each team member will fill an important role in the key position it takes to run a Divisional event. Each team member will also have a backup, in the event that he can not make an event and that person will also have a regional backup! The team approach is meant to ease the stress on regions with smaller Solo2 programs or regions that don't have the means to fully staff a Divisional event.
As stated these are volunteer positions and we are looking for you to step up and help out your Divisional program. Several people have already expressed an interest in helping, so here's your chance to "put your money where your mouth is".
The following positions are available:
Registrar
Chief of Tech
A portion of your SEDiv Solo2 Team
Webmaster - Neal Tovsen - Central Florida Region
Chief of Protest - Steve Hoelscher - Tennessee Valley Region
Chief of Impound - Charles Frank - North Carolina Region
Chief of Workers - Donna Frank - North Carolina Region
Chief of Safety - Bill Coffey - Buccaneer Region
Chief of Grid - Kent DeJarnett - Atlanta Region
Chief of Timing/Scoring - Rick Cone - Atlanta Region
Registration Assistants - Jeanne Darrow, Connie Gibson, Jackie St Jack, Robert Belvoir
Laurens - Course Designer - Heath McMillian - Atlanta Region
Each one of these Chiefs will need multiple people as backups in the event they can't make it to an event, so if you are able to help out in any of the positions, please email me immediately at sedivsolo2@tds.net
