Alignment for Auto-X
Hi, I was hoping to benefit from some collective experience. I'm about to install Prodrive springs and Whiteline front and rear SB's on my 04 RS and wondered if anyone had some suggestions on alignment especially camber.
Thanks,
Sal

Sal, sorry this is so late but I had to get my research done.
I run 17x7.5 Rotas with 225/45/17 S-03s and had to camber my rears in quite a bit to avoid rubbing (albeit with Perrin springs...1.8" front, 1.5" rear drop) and have experienced no radical camber wear in over 7K miles.
I also camber the my fronts to the limits for auto-x days...incredible difference, especially with a stiffer front sway. Bear in mind...my neighbor manages a tire shop, so we camber on Fridays, de-camber (is that a word?? LOL) on Sunday night. Driving to the track with mass camber on the fronts is an experience...talk about following ruts...HA!!
Hope this helps!!

OK, Thanks for the post, but when you talk about camber at least for a racing application you're talking about negative degrees of camber. Do you know how many degrees of negative camber your running? I was wondering what degree of negative camber others are using with similar setups. My car for example even with the drop from the Prodrive springs is running 0 degrees of camber on both back wheels as they are not adjustable and I managed to squeeze -1 degree on the LF and about -3/4 of a degree on the RF. So at this point I'm going to drive the car a little bit and then go for some camber plates.

Sal, I have no clue as to how many degrees I'm running up front...I camber 'em to the maximum mechanically allowable.
For the rears, just use camber bolts...makes it easy. Just keep an eye on 'em...they tend to move under very heavy loads such as auto-x. Not much, just barely noticable.
I haven't messed around with measuring the actual degree to which I'm cambering only because I'm not that good a driver yet...LOL.
Good luck! Have fun!
