Here's one of my replies to her date...
Before I go any further, I'll offer some of my
insight. Its up to you if you
want to take it seriously. I think (its only a
thought since I really don't
know you and offering a 3rd person perspective) the
reason why it hurts so
much is because you let your guard down for this
guy.
Not to make it sound like I know you, my opinion
will be drawn upon
assumptions. Please correct me if I am wrong.
You appear to be the type of girl that is asked,
you're not the type to ask
when it comes to men. What I mean by that is if you
were out and saw an
extremely handsome guy, you won't try to hit up on
him. You won't ask for a
phone number because that is your style. Rejection
hurts and women are not
suppose to be rejected.
Now with what happened with the 25 year old Japanese
guy...
I feel he told you he has no money which can be a
truth, by saying this he
feels your expectations will be lower which will
make things easier on him.
He feels he can make it up with his looks,
intelligence, and interaction.
Also why he let go of you hand when the lights and
traffic hit may be due to
being in public sight? He could be a very personal
type of man where he
doesn't display affection in public? I really can't
pin point it because I
have never met him nor have I talked to him.

was trying to make a
move on you but maybe his confidence level was up or
maybe he had mixed
emotions about it. With my past experiences in those
types of situations,
its difficult to read the girl. When the man thinks
the night is going so
well, he feels he can do anything if he wants to. On
the flip side though
you were already annoyed with the situation which
made it difficult for the
connection to happen. Something intended to be
romantic ended up awkward.
What the old woman said is true, you can stay as
friends, who knows, maybe
he may know someone that is a match.
Why he hurts you...I think he has no clue on how to
treat you. A man needs
to have a direction or "goals" when seeking a
relationship with a woman.
Some of the most simple things, he lacked with what
was described. This is
one of the taboos of dating someone younger than
you. Sure the person will
