Spotted : 08 WRX and Forester STIs

Driving down from the Bay area two days ago, saw a car trailer hauling a load of Subies.

Bunch of 08 Imprezas, and I spotted a couple of STI foresters.

Is the STI Forester in the US?

I sheet you not.

No pics. Tried. Hard to do at 85+ with a greasy phone.

The Foresters had STI badging, and 18s (not BBS) with the Rays STI logo in the center cap. ---Could this be a display only? I mean I saw at least 2 on there with a bunch of 08 wrxs.

Looks like you'd think, without the BBS wheels.

I have an 08 XTS Forester on Order. It's not an STI. It has the looks but none of the goodies except the body kit. It still has the "world" motor in it. %spd tranny is available. I had to special order mine with 5spd tranny and leather interior. It should be in my dirty little mits by the end of next month. I should call to see if it will be sooner.

haha, cool. Yeah, from what I remember it was just a rumor. Suz said if it proved to be true, she was gonna trade her STi in for one. They look decent to me, but she's in love with them.

I was going to hold off and wait for the 08 STi. I just can't give up the versatility of a wagon. When I saw the 08 Sport I was sold. Besides the insurance rates on a Forester are much lower than the STi. Personally I don't think there are enough pimped out Foresters around.
