second vid is good.. how did he spin out? Hit the dirt? Looks like you can't really go past 4th gear at streets of willow.

That car is an RSX right? Would AWD cars act like that when we dip the wheels in the dirt? What is the best course of action if you dip in our cars? Just hold on?

don't brake if two wheels go in the dirt. if you know you're going to go off, try to go straight. i'm surprised the guy didn't pit to check out his car after that incident.

you really can't get a good feel for the elevation changes on videos.

actually if you watch the clip more and more, he hit the burm. At that point you're just a passenger since the car is in a spin, he gradually stopped. So use the brakes at the end.

Ok good to know. So the burm is not a good thing to be using? Because I see cars utilize burms all the time. Infact as this vid progresses, he is actually using the burns quit a bit, especially where the really narrow "S" turns are at. Just curious..

Thanks

well on that track, that's the alligator burm. I've hit it before going clockwise. He's running counter so the effect of hitting a burm pretty much upset the balance of his car and the car came out from underneath him.

burm is not necessarily bad.. just depends on the best line you feel that you can take.
