Nintendo has announced the first official Nintendo™ Wii launch details in their press conference today. Exactly two years after the launch of the Nintendo DS™ in Japan, the first Japanese Nintendo™ Wii consoles will hit Japanese stores on Saturday, December 2nd 2006.

The price of the Nintendo™ Wii Console has been set at JPY 25,000 only (approx. USD 212 / EUR 167), less than half the price of Sony's PlayStation3™, which is still expected to launch in November 2006 in Japan and USA.

US and European Nintendo Wii™ launch details are confirmed to be revealed during the next few days. Rumours are spread at the moment that the US Nintendo Wii™ launch date will also be set exactly two years after the release of the NDS™ - on November 19th (at a price of USD 250).

Nintendo™ Wii Package Content Details:

Each Nintendo™ Wii launch package has been announced to include the following items:

Nintendo Wii Console
Wii Remote (with strap)
Nunchuk Controller
AC Adapter (110V)
AV Cable
Stand
Auxiliary Plate
Sensor Bar
Sensor Bar Stand
AA Battery (x2)
First Accessories:

So far, prices for the following three Japanese accessories have been announced:
Wii Remote Control
Wii Nunchuk Controller
Wii Classic Controller





Nintendo™ Wii Software Lineup:

A total of 16 Wii™ games from ten different companies have been announced to be available at the Japanese launch date on December 2nd, 2006. Until the end of 2006, the software lineup is expected to reach a total of 27, from 14 different publishers. Software pricing has been confirmed to be identical to GameCube™ pricing, ranging from JPY 4,800 (approx. USD 40 / EUR 32) to JPY 6,800 (approx. USD 57 / EUR 45).

Virtual Console Game Pricing:

Nintendo anticipates to launch around 30 Virtual Console titles, including Mega Drives and PC-Engine games. A total of approx. 60 games are expected to be available on launch. Around 10 additional titles are supposed to be released each month, including MSX games.

Famicom (NES): JPY 500 (approx. USD 4.25 / EUR 3.35)
Super Famicom (Super NES): JPY 800 (approx. USD 6.80 / EUR 5.36)
Nintendo 64: JPY 1.000 (approx. USD 8.50 / EUR 6.70)

We start the Wii disc production at the end of this month. Don't have a list of titles yet, but I am sure they are out there on the internet somewhere.

it is going to come with wii sports in the box.

wii sports has 5 games (baseball,boxing,tennis,bowling, and golf)

not bad at all for 250, oh yeh it will be able to surf the net that is the best feature of all

only next gen console that can access i-club cant top that
