I thought this was amazing parking

This is pretty amazing! Can you imagine how all this operates? How do they lock each car in its cubicle for safety. WHO CARES. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND COULD GET IN THERE.
Talk about German efficiency! The two photos below were taken at a new parking garage in Munich. The actual space that the facility occupies is approximately only 20% of a comparable facility with the traditional design that is used primarily in the US. Not only is the German structure less expensive to build, but vehicles are also "retrieved" in less time and without the potential of being damaged by an
attendant.

Now who can find the parking stucture like this in Japan?

they are trying this out in washington dc. you drive into a room swipe your access card and it takes your car and automatically "files" it in a parking spot.

you come back and swipe your car and voila the doors open and your car shows up.

the parking structures in europe are cool
in the UK they have video monitoring for each space as well as sensors for the spot. if the security is triggered the entire parking lot is locked down and nobody can get out until that car is found

well is living in a tower convient with an elavator and you live on the 34th floor? Everyone in your building leaves for work at the same time so that means you'll have to pretty much visit each floor before you leave the building.
