we're having a nice drive tomorrow morning (sunday). Leaving from the Washoe House again. too bad you hadn't found out earlier. I believe the count is up to 12 cars coming along.

uh-oh, it looks like Peugot is back on track for world domination again. according to WRC.com, the new 307 was the fastest car in Monte Carlo during the shakedown runs.
voting on WRC.com shows Marko Martin leading the way as far as pre-rallu favorites in the polls.

man i can't wait.
Man all Peugeot needs is a faster car. I'm sticking with Marcus on this one. Although i'd like nothing better than Petter getting his first win in M.C

ok so i was off. These are who i picked.
1) M. Gronholm (i think the new 307 is going to show it's stuff)
2) S. Loeb (the new king of M.C, he'll be up at the front)
3) P. Solberg (because it's petter and he's always in my top three)
4) M. Martin (the fords are only getting better)
5) F. Duval (the kid will be a world champ one day)
6) G. Panizzi (still working out the kinks of the new car)
7) F. Loix (he's fast and i almost but him higher up the list)
8) C. Sainz (got to have the matador on the list somewhere)
and i was wrong. Here is how it really went.
1) S. Loeb
2) M. Martin
3) F. Duval
4) M. Gronholm
5) F. Loix
6) G. Panizzi
7) P. Solberg
i beleive Marcus Gronholm could have won that race so easily if he hadn't had those car problems. He was only down by 1:48 or something like that. I also think that the 307 is hands down the fastest car in the field. The 4 speed gear box is working as far as speed of the corners. He could be world clamp again if they get the gearbox problems behind them.
And Francois Duval was amazingly quick. They should have let him have 2nd place. I hate team orders.

team orders suck. it's like F1 all over again, and its only the first race of the damn season. a big
to Ford for that one.
i agree that the 307 is a devilishly fast car. if they can get the gearbox issues, and the gearing sorted out, it stands to reason that the 307 should be very competative, if not as dominant as the 206 was a year or two ago.
Sebastian Loeb simply owns Monte Carlo, no doubt about it.

My girlfriend likes Sebastian Loeb too. It's one more reason for me to DISLIKE him.

hmmm. from what i watched, his co-driver was telling him to slow down so that Martin could take second and then he stalled it in a hairpin.

It wasn't team orders that cost Duval 2nd place. He had an incident on the next to last stage that cost him some time.

What the hell are you talking about. He had to slam on his breaks at the last corner to stall his car so he wouldn't beat M. Martins time. Go back and watch the tape.

I watched it when it was shown on Speed. He jus tstalled it, and that was the difference between 2nd and 3rd. He was one of like 4 drivers to do that this round.
