Loeb is simply amazing, thats all that can be said. Him and Petter seem pretty much to be on their own level, and as soon as one gets the lead, no one (not even the other) can challenge.
Those two are the best in the sport right now.

As much as I am rooting for Petter, Loeb is just phenomenal. His driving skills are undeniable, the only thing that can stop him is mechanicals. But the Citroen has proven quite reliable so far, not to mention the obvious advantage of having Michelins. Pirelli no longer has the edge on gravel rallies.
Blech, five wins in a row for Loeb! As much as I hate to admit it, it looks like it's going to be a second championship for Loeb. I know it is only half-way through, but the man is simply awesome. I mean he's first on the road as road sweeper, and it still does not bother him, he is so consistent. I am still hoping Petter will fight though....go Petter!!
Did you see Loeb in Greece? Any of the last five events for that matter. He's liquid on virtually any surface. Subaru doesn't have much of a chance this year. Loeb is hot and just keep trowing fuel on the flames. Crap Solberg/Loeb team Subaru. Woooooo wouldn't that be cool.

As drivers, Loeb and Sollberg seem to be near opposites. Loeb is deliberately calm and unflappable while Sollberg is reactive and seems to swing with his mood. Sollberg doesn't seem to get really focused anymore until he's trying to catch up from behind. As good as Loeb is (and I think he's by far the best in WRC), I've seen Sollberg run nearly flawless stages. I think he can be far more aggressive and run much faster than Loeb. But, that's when Sollberg is hot.
As for this year's WRC.... The Subraru team needs to do some major work. It seems to me like Citroen really believes in Loeb and the team is ready to make the car whatever Loeb wants it to be before and during a rally. Loeb gets that car to run exactly the way he wants it to for every stage. Subrau, on the other hand seems to be another story. I suspect (but I'm just a fan and I'm just guessing) that the Subrau team and Prodrive take a hard look at all that driver/road/car data and come up with a tailored car for each rally, but that the Subraru drivers don't have the last word on how they want the car to perform before and during the race. I think that drivers that are good enough to get to the top of the WRC should have full control of how the car is tweaked.
Interesting how good Hirvonen was at Acropolis. He's doing better since Subaru dropped him last year!

I want Peter to win damnit... He is talented, a great personality, charismatic, and brings excitement to the sport. Oh, and drives a suby!
Grunholm is always negative, upset, kinda has a pissy attitude. Loeb is friendly and extremely talented, but his personality is flat.
Strength of the Xarra vs. others doesn't help either.
Oh well, maybe next year.
