If you live in the NW...there are local distributors of Silverstone Rally tires.

http://www.taborrallyteam.com/silver...lverstone.html

People either love or hate them compared to Michelins. They tend have a longer life than a Michelin. Sube sports in California is one connection for Michelins and Susquehanna Motorsports is the other.

Just found this page for you which might be of help!

Another good resource for you will be Specialstage.com which is on line community of racers!

Good luck...PM if you need anything else.

Prodrive makes great stuff.

good place for cheep tires is tirerack.com for the kuhmo rally tires they work fine unless you have money to spend on more expensive tires.

I can say from watching some people run the Kuhmo's..they don't hold up that well on gravel.
They wear quickly compared to most...not one I would recommend for NW gravel!!

The Kuhmo's will probably do fine on pavement along with the Silverstones.
Michelins are usually softer and wear quicker.

If you are going to rally...the cheaper the wheel the better...check the local wrecking yards!

We used the Kuhmos at Rally New York 2001. Everyother stage is tarmac. I would not reccommend the Kuhmos on tarmac. The side walls are not stiff enough. At 100mph at points, we could feel the car moving from the sidewalls flexing. 2002, we used Michelins. The sidewalls are much stiffer and the car felt 100% better. A had compound should be used also due to the nature of the rally.

Parts?

Vermont Sportscar
Fourstarmotorsports
TAD motorsports
Cascade
Sube Sports
Primm Racing(not for tires)
Libra racing

Lots of places to buy. Check out bensrallypage.com for lots of links.

FWIW, we ran Kuhmos for a couple of races and went back to Michelins. I've never had a puncture with the Michelins and had three with the Kuhmos-in one race!

Cheers! John
