I don't think we will ever know and it was a fluke accident. Hit the car in the wrong place...a little forward or a little back wouldn't have been as bad.

The SCCA pace notes are written by SCCA, not the codrivers. This could definitely create a problem when you're running a 400hp car in the rain and all you have is someone else's notes on the stage.

i don't know, but imo it detracts. if the codriver and driver can work together and make themselves go faster by making their own notes wouldn't it be better? by trying to level the field it detracts from the competition that makes a working driver/codriver team vital....
