I wanna rally! Help

Ok, I've recently put alot of thought into changing careers and I want to get into rallying. I need some help since I don't know where to start. I've thought of going to a 1 or 2 day school but those are pretty much all overseas. I've got $5,000 that I was going to use for flying but I'm considering pouring it into this new dream of mine. Can anyone guide me in the right direction or lend some information please??? Where do I start? Auto-x?? Build my own rally car?? SCCA??

Thanks,
Cody

here's a rally class. It would give you an idea of what you are getting into.

now that thats out of the way, theres a good long term article in a past few Grassroots Motorsports about starting a rally car. It actually started as a rally-x car but then moved on to stage rally. It started early this year or end of last year maybe? Give them an e-mail and they can probably give you more info on the articles

Well, ok. I'm not quite sure if that's just personal beef you have with her or if you strongly disagree with the faq I posted. If it's the latter, then please speak up; I'm sure we (myself included) could all benefit from it. But I have a hunch that it's the former.

+1 on the GM article. The recent October issue had the stage rally event review, and a section in the classifieds for that particular project car.
